German A1 — For Work in Germany
Germany's tech, healthcare, and engineering sectors are hungry for MENA talent — but they want German. A1 in eight weeks, oriented to job applications and the relocation paperwork.
About this course
Germany's labor shortage means tech engineers, doctors, nurses, and skilled trades from MENA can land jobs there — if they have at least A1 German on paper. This course gets you to A1 with a focus on relocation reality: introducing yourself professionally, the visa appointment German, and the first weeks in a German workplace. Heavier on speaking than typical A1 courses.
What you'll cover
- 1
Why German still requires this much effort
Cases, gender, word order. Why English doesn't help much. The plan.
- 2
Sounds and the first 200 words
ä, ö, ü, ch. The pronunciation traps for Arabic speakers.
- 3
Introducing yourself professionally
Name, where you're from, what you do, why Germany. The script the visa officer wants.
- 4
Numbers, time, dates
Counting in German is weird (24 = 'four-and-twenty'). Master once.
- 5
Daily life — apartment, shopping, errands
The vocab that gets you through Aldi, Sparkasse, and the Bürgeramt.
- 6
Work-related vocabulary
Office vocab. Medical vocab. Engineering vocab — pick yours.
- 7
The visa appointment
The 5 questions you'll be asked. Practice in pairs.
- 8
A1 conversation challenge
10-minute conversation. You're ready to fill the visa form.
Who it's for
Engineers and doctors targeting German visas, students applying to TU München / RWTH / Heidelberg, and skilled trades exploring relocation.
